What are Adult Ballet cles really like?

Yes most schools would make you wear a leotard and the reason is that the teacher needs to be able to see if you are using your body in the correct way, if you are engaging your turnout, stuff like that and baggy clothes don't allow them to see that. Some schools will let you wear shorts over the leo or a ballet skirt. Since you have no dreams of being a pro look for a non competetion school (you will feel less aniexty there in my opinion) and the atmosphere may be more relaxed. Girls of all sizes will be in the cl, not just sticks. I'm 33 and just started ballet this year, my school offers an adult cl but since no one ever signs up, I'm in the teen beginner cl (the girls are from 11-20). The cl should be run in basically the same way where ever you go, barre work, centre work, maybe across the floor combinations and then work on a routine. I know that it's very hard, but try not to let your fears run your life, who knows maybe you have a natural talent for it and will love it, you will never know if you don't try.
