Can ferret allergies go away over time? (humans allergic to ferrets)?

Actually, yes, you CAN become immune to there dander. I am seriously allergic to cats.. but being the animal lover I am got a kitten anyways. I took Zyrtec for a month and no longer need to take it. My body is used to him now.
