The poor people of Bombay, India?

I just recently saw Slumdog Millionaire and it touched my heart deeply. Seeing how kids living in the slums survive really got me thinking. I was researching, and I came across an article that say how Bombay is moving to push out the poor in the slums. The government is demolishing every bit of these peoples' homes, and in order for the poor not to rebuild, a layer of filth is put over the entire slum. I really want to do something, like begin collecting food and clothes, etc. for them. But I am not sure how to do it. Like how do i get an address? And stuff like that. Please help!
