Are these New Orleans' landmarks the most popular?
The French Quarter, Bourbon Street (Pat O'Briens is a must), Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, and Cafe du Monde are all within walking distance to each other and are a must see. Don't bother with C Street unless you're interested in the Audubon Institute's Insectarium. The Audubon Zoo and Aquarium of the Americas are pretty awesome. A drive through the Garden District, on St. Charles Ave, is great to see beautiful architecture. Magazine Street has cute boutique shops. Frenchman Street in the Marigny has great live music at night. Restaurants: $$$ Commander's Palace, $$$ Galatoire's, $$ Jaques Imo's (my fave) and $ Parkway Tavern (for a poboy). Head to The Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street on Tuesday nights to catch The Rebirth Br Band (a few doors down from Jaques Imo's). Have a great visit!!!
