I'm really scared?

Is philosophy such as transcendentalism demonic? For some reason, I sometimes don't want to believe in the devil. It scares me. I want to live in a peaceful world, and when I didn't have this on my mind, I was so much happier. I feel burdened by the prospect of evil. I remember when I felt so free, embracing all religions and the complexity of them and the possibilities.
