Looking for information on Indianapolis as a place to relocate.?

Is there anyone who can tell me about their experience working in Indianapolis... is it a nice city, is it clean and safe and easy to get around? Are employment opportunties more abundant than they are in Connecticut? What are best suburbs to live in ... that are relatively close to the city?
