Did the idea of taxes really come from the Bible?

I doubt it, I would think that the idea of a combined community wealth started when humans first formed tribes. A similar effect can be seen in pack animals that will share the spoils of a hunt. The members that stayed at home looking after the cubs are still entitled to a share of the wealth.
